Sugar & Gold offers an experience that is all about refined techniques paired with high-performance spray tan products. We will find the perfect shade for your needs from an extensive range of solutions. Natural and organic ingredients combined with powerful antioxidants including rich lavish oils, botanical fruit extracts, silky amino acids to help your tan develop faster, absorb deeper into the skin and create a color that lasts longer.
We care just as much about what goes into the products we use as the results that come out. All our formulas contain PETA-approved ingredients, free of parabens, contains 100% natural DHA and is vegan friendly.
All tans last 5-10 days. Choose how dark you want to go! 1-2 hours for a natural tan, 3-4 hours for a medium glow, 4-5 hours for a deeper, dark skin finish.

Before your tan appointment

Exfoliate and moisturize 24 hours before your treatment, paying particular attention to elbows, knees, ankles and problem dry areas.

It is highly important to schedule any sugaring, facials, manicures or pedicures prior to your tan.

It is recommended the day of your tan to avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in shower moisturizers.

Please don’t apply moisturizer, perfume, deodorant or makeup on the day of your treatment.

Wear dark loose clothing; tight clothing or underwear may cause marks. Wear loose fitting shoes like flip flops.
After care

Rinse off lightly in lukewarm water for 45 seconds ONLY after your desired development time.

Rinse off using only water, don’t use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos, or loofahs.

Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin. 8 hours after your rinse off you can shower normally.

Moisturize everyday!

After day 5, exfoliate with a soft body polish on a daily basis, to help your skin absorb even more moisturizer and keep it looking and feeling gorgeous. This also helps the tan fade naturally, rather than in patches.

Yes!
What should I wear during my tan appointment?
Dress down to your comfort level. We recommend being completely nude to avoid unwanted tan lines.
How long does the appointment take?
The appointment is set for exactly 15 minutes, so it is very important to be punctual! If you are a first time client, we recommend that you arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to discuss your tan goals.
How long will my tan last?
This depends on several factors including your skin type, skin cycle, lifestyle, and care. It should last for a minimum of 5 days and has the potential to last as long as 10+ days. The best thing that you can do to increase the longevity of your tan is to apply moisturizer once a day. Also, try to avoid activities that speed up your skin’s natural exfoliation process. Keep in mind that long showers/baths, hot tubs, heavy sweating, and swimming in salt water and/or chlorine all tend to dry out your skin.
Will my airbrush tan protect me from the sun?
No, so remember to wear SPF!
Can I get a spray tan if I have a sunburn or my skin is peeling?
We highly recommend that you wait to get a spray tan until your skin has healed.
Is getting an airbrush tan safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
According to the American Pregnancy Association, studies on DHA (active ingredient) indicate it is safe, but some health care providers encourage women to wait until after the first trimester, just to play it safe. Even if you have been spray tanned before, try a patch of skin first. Your skin may be more sensitive and irritable during pregnancy. When in doubt always ask your doctor for an approval before making an appointment.
